3B's Custom Hardwood Pintail Decks was born from a simple belief: a skateboard deck should be as beautiful as it is functional. We source premium solid hardwood slabs, hand-select each piece for grain character, and shape every Pintail profile by hand in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Quercus alba · Eastern North America
White Oak is the workhorse of fine hardwood. Dense, strong, and visually dramatic — the ray fleck patterns catch light in ways that make every board look like a painting. Slightly heavier than Ash, with a warmer, golden tone.
Ash
Fraxinus americana · Eastern Canada
Ash is the athlete's wood — lighter than Oak, with a clean, almost architectural grain pattern. The pale silver-cream tones give Ash decks a more understated, gallery-quality look. Excellent flex characteristics for a cruiser.

Taxes
All sales are subject to applicable Ontario and Canadian taxes. Tax is calculated at checkout based on your location.
Shipping
100% customer-paid. A real-time shipping calculator at checkout provides accurate rates based on the weight of solid hardwood. We do not mark up shipping costs.
Turnaround
The 2–4 week production window covers crafting and engraving. Carrier transit time is additional and varies by destination. Tracking provided once shipped.

We walk the lumber yard and hand-pick the specific slab that will become your deck. We're looking for character — the grain patterns, the figure, the story in the wood. The slab is also evaluated for ideal laser engraving surface quality.

The slab is shaped into the Pintail profile by hand over a 2–4 week window. This is not a CNC operation. The shaping, the edge work, the progressive taper — all done with hand tools and careful attention.
